‘I had a great meeting the people at Chatsworth last week. They’re keen to give me as much access as I like which means I’ll can go ‘behind the scenes’, on rooftops and parts of the house that the public don’t usually get to. They’re planning a lot of renovations of various areas that will become public eventually so this may be the last chance to see these places before they are rebuilt.’

‘I am going over to Chatsworth this week to start some paintings! It seems to have been a long time coming but I’m looking forward to it. It will probably take a while to get a good idea of what I’ll be doing for the year but I quite like the open ended uncertainty.
I’m planning to start simply and wander about to see what catches my eye. Initially I’ll do a load of small scale mixed media paintings and see where that takes me. I have some major projects that I want to work on while I’m there but I think I need a couple of weeks just painting out and about. Like Olympic runners who need to acclimatise….hmmm.
Should be interesting!’
