Why Take My Courses?
As a professional artist, I’ve spent 30 years exhibiting in galleries around the UK. I paint expressive landscapes at my studio here in the Peak District. The online courses I provide draw on my long experience as a practicing artist, as well as over 20 years running in-person painting workshops around the UK and abroad. I’m now in my 5th year running online classes and have helped 100s of artists boost their creativity.
I have a no nonsense approach teaching and in my tutorials, you’ll receive in-depth practical advice that will help you think and work creatively and expressively. I don’t use fancy materials or gimmicky processes. In fact, it’s likely you’ll already have most, if not all the materials you need.
The processes I teach will help you to get closer to the work you want to produce, so you won’t just come away with copies of my work. I want to provide you with the tools, both practical and psycological to create exciting work that’s all your own!
If you’re an experienced painter you’ll find plenty of ideas here to bolster your process and add to your creative toolbox. If you’re a beginner, these courses will set you on the right path and help you avoid the frustration of not knowing where to start.
